About Us

Our Aim

The vision with the ‘Sevens’ is to run a competition that:

  • Is fair and equitable,
  • Allows Clubs of all sizes to compete and be competitive.
  • Allows bowlers of all levels of ability to compete against bowlers of similar ability.
  • Allows male and female bowlers to compete with and against each other in the same competition.
  • Gives clubs the opportunity to play against different clubs from their District Pennant competition, while keeping travel to a maximum of one and a half hours where possible.
  • Is conducted under the laws of the Sport of Bowls.

To support these aims, the competition is run as a home & away format, within divisions and sections where teams play each other, once on their home green and once on opponent’s green. The Sevens is therefore conducted with six teams per section which takes ten weeks plus three weeks of finals.
